A SavvySpin Reboot
I'm back, after a long absence. Just too much going on. I've redesigned the website and planted it on a different server, mostly just to make it more convenient for me to update it more frequently. We'll see.
Lots going on in the PR/political world. Obama jokes about the Special Olympics on Leno; AIG - what can I say? Poland Spring wins a court case but is still losing the PR image battle in the Legislature and the press. This is a company that is iconic as Maine lobster that is now being compared to strip mining, and the company is unable to mount an effective response, even though the facts are on its side. Another demonstration of the power of a citizen's grass roots campaign against a corporate giant. Do you think the fact that the anti-water crowd is up on Facebook and MySpace, and Poland Spring isn't, has something to do with it?
Twitter is all the rage now, apparently. But I have to say, some people just plain Twitter too much. I don't mind getting a Tweet from Walter Mossberg on his latest review in the Wall Street Journal of some new gadget. But then I get this from him: "Watching 'My Cousin Vinnie' for the 20th time. Gets better every time." Do I need to know this?
